Yes we checked the forecast… a week before. But guys, it’s Tucson. It never rains more than 20 minutes max here. Jane asked me for plan B, in case it rains, in which I responded with an in-home/low-key lifestyle session alternative. No, she says, let’s go on an adventure. What?! Seriously? You’re speaking my love language and ummm…. YES! Let’s Go!
We met at the usual golden hour, it was just drizzling by this time. I pulled out my quilt and told Jane, it has got to be fast, are you ready? Yes, she said. Let’s do this. We hiked up a small hill, 3 little people in-tow. I shot the first ½ of this session in 15 minutes. Yes, you read that right, 15 minutes. We hiked down and it poured. Rain shower all around us as I turned and asked Jane if she still wanted to check out the creek for a couple shots. Yes, she said. Off we went, running. I kept shooting. I had a waterproof camera sleeve in my car but there was no time. It was soaked. We were soaked. We laughed, the kids had a great time.
This was the funnest most epic family session I have ever shot. It took 20 minutes. Here are some of my fave!
Last week my little sister got married. The venue was AKALA Chapel at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. She wore casablanca that I helped picked out. My heart is full. She has been through so much in life and love. I'm so happy for her that she finally found her best friend. Someone that she could grow old with. Someone that will be there for her. The ceremony was beautiful and intimate. There were only 6 of us. Our parents couldn't be there so her groom's dad walked her down the aisle. So much emotion that I could barely hold my camera still.
Wishing her and her love a lifetime of happiness.
love is more thicker than forget
more thinner than recall
more seldom than a wave is wet
more frequent than to fail
it is most mad and moonly
and less it shall unbe
than all the sea which only
is deeper than the sea
love is less always than to win
less never than alive
less bigger than the least begin
less littler than forgive
it is most sane and sunly
and more it cannot die
than all the sky which only
is higher than the sky

We talked and I'm just so in love with them. Their beautiful English accent and their gentle demeanor despite being so incredibly gorgeous had me melting. Originally from Angola, they are both studying to become geoscientists. I think they need to become the next top models instead, don't you think?
Over the weekend we had our shoot and I am so in love and so inspired. They don't know it yet but so many photographers all around the world are so in love with them right now, too... just as I am. Xo.

It was such an honor to photograph ShanaSue and Evan's wedding this past weekend at Sanctuary Cove. They are so fun to spend time with. The weather was amazing with fluffy clouds all around us. I personally love the rain. I love how it makes me feel so grounded to the present. To live another day. And I'm so glad I was able to spend it with 2 amazing people who are so in love with each other and don't mind the rain. We shot through it and I'm beyond thrill with the results. It feels so good to be able to deliver these images my couple. Congratulations guys and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day. Xo.

I met this gorgeous family about a year ago. I photographed their little boy when he was only a few months old. He has grown into such a handsome toddler and so so sweet. I'm in love with his smile and those baby blue eyes!!! Oh those baby blues have my heart.

Thanks guys, so much, for allowing me to photograph your family for the past 3 years. Here are a few of my favorites:
I had the best weekend. I got to spend time photographing this super sweet family. I LOVED them instantly. And can I just say that their little girl... oh my goodness, SO CUTE!!! We drove out to Sonoita and danced in the golden field against the desert sunset.
As always, Arizona sky did not disappoint.

So glad this family trusted in me. We met and waited for about 10 minutes for the rain to stop, leaving us this moody lighting with dramatic clouds formation. On top of the good weather, their colorful sarees look Amazing against the backdrop of the corn maze. Gah, I love it.

That's when I met this beautiful goddess... She is everything that I had imagined going into the shoot and so much more. She's a mom, a model, and a business owner (find her awesomeness here: http://www.powderroombridal.com/). She is beautiful and courageous, strong and gentle, above all else she's a friend. The one you call to tell about your exciting news, the one who cries at movies with you, the one who is always up to go on any adventure, the one who is happy to be there for you. Case in point, we were told to leave the property where we originally wanted to shoot while it was raining on us the whole time. The next location was at least 30 minutes away. We pulled over on the side of the road and started shooting. In the rain and in between the rain. I'm so glad she is all that amazing because we were able to capture these:

And the sky God smiled upon us with those clouds. That's right. Those are the actual clouds from the day of our shoot. Can you believe it? Gah!!! So good!

Over the weekend I met this beautiful family and I love them instantly. They were so sweet and super relax. Most importantly, they believed in me. In return I wanted to give them something more than a snapshot in time. I wanted to give them emotional photographs. The ones that I loved so much. Without thinking, without rules, without judgment, I let my emotion guided me and photograph what I felt.

]]>What an honor to photograph this beautiful young lady today. Not only was our session super fun and easy, post processing her images was a breeze. And how can it be difficult, right? Just take a look at her, what a natural beauty!
Do you know anyone from class of 2015 or 2016 that would like to have an AMAZING set of senior pictures? Send them this way!
Till next time! Xx :)

Kring here with my very first blog post from sunny Tucson, writing to you today as a child and family lifestlye photographer using only natural light. What an honor! This week I had the opportunity to do a mini shoot for a sweet friend of mine. I love love love capturing sweet moments like this one. As you can see from my portfolio, I'm drawn to images that give a candid feel than the traditional: pose and smile.
Besides candid photography, I love beautiful landscapes. It gives me inner peace to explore and just be in the moment.
Well, till next time! Xx :)
